Motherhood changed the way I see early learning

I’m a mom of four — from teenager to toddler — and everything in between.

My life is full, busy, beautiful, loud, and deeply meaningful. I’ve experienced the teenage years, the toddler years, and every stage that stretches and grows you in between. Living motherhood across such a wide age range has given me something incredibly valuable: perspective. I understand how quickly the years pass, how foundational the early ones are, and how deeply our children need us — especially in a world that is constantly pulling their attention elsewhere.

My 'Why'

A Journey that deepened my purpose

When our youngest son, Levi, was born, he was diagnosed with a double brain bleed. Within the first two months of his life, he underwent multiple brain surgeries. Those early days were filled with hospital rooms, specialists, therapy appointments, and more uncertainty than I ever thought I could carry.

And yet, those days also changed me.

Through countless hours of therapy, doctor visits, and intentional early intervention, I saw something powerful: children are incredibly resilient — but they need consistent, hands-on support. They need engaged adults. They need repetition, connection, play, language, and presence.

That season reshaped the trajectory of my life.

It deepened my belief that early childhood is not something we rush through — it is something we lean into.

I’ve taught in classrooms, led educational programs, and studied child development extensively. But the combination of professional training and real-life motherhood — especially parenting a child with medical complexities — is what truly refined my philosophy.
